Impact
Public health workers impact lives everyday. They seek to improve quality of life at the individual and community level.
Through the work of our students, faculty, and alumni, meaningful change is happening all over the world. Through research and programming, we are helping to find solutions in our community and our world. From Waco to Ghana, and everywhere in between, our faculty is doing work that will make a difference in our community and our world!
Rural Active Living Measurement Tools
The Rural Active Living Assessment (RALA) Tools and the Rural Active Living Perceived Environmental Support Scale (RALPESS) were designed to help researchers and community members collect data on the existence and perception of physical environment features and amenities, town characteristics, community programs, and policies that could potentially influence levels of physical activity among residents living in rural communities.
