Joint Degree Program

Students interested in pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) program may be eligible for our 5-year joint degree program with a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Community Health Science degree.

View BSPH/MPH Joint Degree Program Planner

Application Process

Interested BSPH majors must officially apply during their junior year of the undergraduate (BSPH) program. Advisement by the program director during freshman and sophomore year is highly recommended so that careful planning can begin early in the process.

Students in the joint degree program begin taking MPH-level courses during their "senior" year of the BSPH program, while also finishing up some of their BSPH requirements. Students take MPH-level courses instead of taking the BSPH-level equivalents. Careful planning and strong attention to details can make this joint degree program an exciting, career-enhancing opportunity for those who are qualified and willing to engage.

For more information about the joint degree program, contact Margo_Shanks@baylor.edu.
