Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) with a Pre-Medical Concentration
Baylor University’s Pre-Medical concentration for the Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) program aims to prepare students for entrance into medical school through a public health lens. The curriculum is designed to help students meet entrance criteria for medical school while providing a well-rounded, population-health focused foundation for a future healthcare career.
Curriculum
Course requirements for Baylor’s BSPH with a Pre-Medical concentration provide students with an education that both meets the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals while also meeting medical school prerequisite requirements. The coursework adds significant value to medical school preparation by emphasizing public health-oriented concepts such as global health challenges, population health and prevention, and health policy and equity.
